Campus Involvement

Student playing pool

The Student Campaign Committee for the University of Michigan's Victors for Michigan Campaign is looking for students and student groups around campus who meet the criteria of donors, namely those that have voluntarily donated money or time to better the University in a way that would not be possible without that gift.

Examples include students or student groups who:

  • have made a financial contribution to the University of Michigan (e.g. donating to a class gift program, donating to ASB, etc.)

  • raise funds for UM (e.g. scholarships, Health System, etc.)

  • improve sustainability at UM

  • are involved in voluntary research at UM

  • represent the University through service work abroad or outside the UM network

These groups and individuals have the opportunity to be recognized at the Victors for Michigan Campaign Kick Off at Hill Auditorium on November 8th. In attendance will be President Mary Sue Coleman, Stephen Ross, and other Regents and donors that have given significant support to the University. Students who fit the above definition of donors will go through a brief training and will receive t-shirts that will distinguish them from other students participating in the event. We are expecting Hill Auditorium to be near capacity.

If you feel that you or your organization fits the above definition of student donors to the University of Michigan, we would like the opportunity to formally thank you for your contribution at the Campaign Kick Off. Please email the Student Campaign Committee at with a brief explanation of your individual or group mission and how you have given to the University. You must be available for a brief training and attend the November 8th Kick Off (7:30 PM - 9:00 PM). If you are a student organization, provide the names and email addresses of those members who are attending. Please respond by Wednesday, October 16th.
