Campus Involvement

The New Beat Happening Committee plans concerts for up-and-coming artists from around the world, as well as educational programs for students interested in working in the music industry.

New Beat regularly hosts concerts in the Michigan Union, Michigan League, and Pierpont Commons, featuring local, regional, and national artists. New Beat also coordinates the annual Music-Con music education conference, featuring artists and industry experts committed to sharing their knowledge with students.

Above all, New Beat is a group of music lovers who aim to share their passion with other students!

New Beat Happening is looking for new members. If you are interested in helping to book bands and concerts, contact us at totallyawesome@umich.edu.
