Rigo is the Associate Director of the Center for Campus Involvement, a role which allows him to collaborate with a wonderful staff dedicated to cultivating a vibrant and inclusive Wolverine community. As an undergraduate student, Rigo was very involved with student life on campus, which was an impactful experience that shaped him as a person and gave direction to his passion of working in higher education. Rigo earned his M.Ed. in Student Affairs in Higher Education at Texas State University and a B.A. in Communication Studies at the University of Texas-Pan American. His focus areas are student engagement and leadership development, campus activities, student organizations, and diversity/equity/inclusion.

Rigo's hope for all students is that they will significantly grow, make friendships and connections, and have a platform to pursue their personal and professional passions during their time in college. "With hundreds of student activities, organizations, and programs offered every year, you are sure to find something to be involved with at the University of Michigan! Go blue!"
