Rigo Gutierrez

Rigo is the Associate Director of the Center for Campus Involvement, a role which allows him to collaborate with a wonderful staff dedicated to cultivating a vibrant and inclusive Wolverine community. As an undergraduate student, Rigo was very involved with student life on campus, which was an impactful experience that shaped him as a person and gave direction to his passion of working in higher education. Rigo earned his M.Ed. in Student Affairs in Higher Education at Texas State University and a B.A. in Communication Studies at the University of Texas-Pan American. His focus areas are student engagement and leadership development, campus activities, student organizations, and diversity/equity/inclusion.

Rigo's hope for all students is that they will significantly grow, make friendships and connections, and have a platform to pursue their personal and professional passions during their time in college.
