The University of Michigan houses five major performance venues: Hill Auditorium, Power Center for the Performing Arts, Rackham Auditorium, Arthur Miller Theater, and Lydia Mendelssohn Theater. These venues are managed by University Productions who rents the spaces out to three major presenters on campus: the University Musical Society, the School of Music, Theater, and Dance, and the Center for Campus Involvement in accordance with the Hart-Wright Guidelines.

Examples of large-scale productions within the University's major venues include, but are not limited to, departmental concerts, promoter concerts, comedians, beauty pageants, dance competitions, and professional theatrical presentations.
