The SSO Agreement is not set in stone. It can and should change over time to continue to meet the needs of the SSO and the sponsoring unit. When the need for a change in the sponsoring relationship is foreseen, the unit and the SSO leaders should engage in a new conversation. This process mirrors that of creating a sponsoring relationship, but has the benefit of organizational history. The conversation should begin as soon as possible so that the SSO and the unit may incorporate any changes into the preparation for next year. At the end of a successful modification, the SSO Agreement should be updated and CCI should be notified.
