As the student population is transient by nature, new student leadership should be expected each year, and the incoming student leadership may not be aware of the organization’s status as an SSO or what sponsorship entails. Leadership transition is a key time in the life of an SSO and a sponsoring relationship. Transition support is one of the primary reasons the University encourages units to engage in sponsoring relationships.
