How to find the SORC!

Our office is located on floor 3M of the Michigan Union, right outside the South Elevator.

A few people have told us that it's a little difficult to find SORC, so here is a guide:

From State Street (east entrance)

  1. When you walk up the outdoor steps from State Street, you will be on the 1st floor of the Michigan Union. Once inside, you will see the Campus Information desk on your left. Turn left toward the breathtaking new 3-story courtyard.
  2. Meander to the main entrance of that courtyard, near Sweetwaters Cafe. If you've never seen it before, take a few seconds to check it out because it's pretty awesome!
  3. Now, turn to your left. You will see open stairs and the "South Elevator." Push the "up" button for that elevator.
  4. Get on and press "3M." The doors will open on the back side of the elevator when you get to 3M. SORC is straight ahead of you, only about 10 steps. Once you get to 3M, you can't miss us!

From Madison Street / West Quad / South Quad (south entrance)

  1. Walk past the Tech Shop on your left and the Credit Union on your right. Keep walking toward the food court, but before you get to the Bookstore, take a sharp right. If you get to the Bookstore or the food court, you went too far.
  2. Just a few steps after that sharp right, you will see the "South Elevator." Push the "up" button for that elevator.
  3. Get on and press "3M." The doors will open on the back side of the elevator when you get to 3M. SORC is straight ahead of you, only about 10 steps. Once you get to 3M, you can't miss us!

From Richard L Kennedy Drive and the Cube (north entrance)

  1. Walk past the food court on your right, ticket office and bookstore on your left. Keep walking straight. Do not follow the big hallway that veers to the right. STAY STRAIGHT.
  2. About 50 feet past the bookstore, you will see the south elevator on your left. Push the "up" button for that elevator.
  3. Get on and press "3M." The doors will open on the back side of the elevator when you get to 3M. SORC is straight ahead of you, only about 10 steps. Once you get to 3M, you can't miss us!
