Digital advertising screens are a remarkably effective way to convey your message in full color to thousands of passers-by in the Michigan League, Pierpont Commons, Palmer Commons, and several Campus Computing Sites.

Advertisers may reserve advertising space on over 20 digital screens around campus on a day-by-day basis. The minimum reservation is three days; the maximum reservation is one semester. Advertisers create their designs, save them as a .jpg file, and submit them to SORC staff before the deadline, and SORC Managers upload the artwork.

Digital Ads: Availability

Availability

Ads display for 12-15 seconds at a time, in random order. The frequency of exposure depends on the number of organizations that reserve space at the same time as you.


Digital Ads: Construction

Construction Guidelines

As this is a digital service, there is no "construction" per se.  You will simply create a file and email it to SORC.  That file must be in the following format:

  • .jpg or .png format (PDFs are not acceptable!)
  • 1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels tall
  • Minimum 72 ppi (pixels per inch)
  • "RGB" mode

Digital Ads: Request Space

SORC is now accepting reservation requests for Digital Ads for the Winter 2020 reservation period.  You may request advertising space for run dates between now and 9/24/20.  Unlike many other SORC services, it is ok to start a digital ad at the end of one reservation period and continue it into the next.

Digital Ads: Deadlines & Placement

Below are the minimum requirements for digital ads. Bear in mind that certain times of the year are high volume; please submit requests and artwork as early as possible in late August, early September, academic breaks, and during the transition between academic periods.

Deadline to submit request :  3 days before start

Deadline to submit artwork to be uploaded on the screens: 2 days before start
